The Deen Dayal Upadhyay University is a residential and affiliating university located in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The university was brought into existence by an Act of the UP Legislature in the year 1956. The university officially started functioning from 1st September 1957. The university affiliations are spread across in 5 districts of the State with 123 colleges under its jurisdiction.
The university offers courses in the following disciplines- Arts, Commerce, Law, Education, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture and Science respectively. The university offers its courses in under graduate, post graduate, M.Phil and PhD levels for all the eligible candidates enrolled in the university.
